The Florida Ready to Work is a series of assessments administered by CareerSource North Florida that can be used to make your workforce stronger. Not only does it noticeably increase efficiency, the Florida Ready to Work Assessment improves performance, productivity and profitability.
The program is simple. An individual registers for and takes the Ready to Work Assessment (whether on their own, or as part of a job application process) at a local testing center, and is then awarded a credential based on their score. The actual assessment is given in three parts: Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information and Location Information. Research shows that these tests measure the fundamental “workplace” math, reading and problem-solving skills required for more than 85% of all jobs today.**
Job seekers who take the assessment earn up to a Bronze, Silver or Gold (level 3, 4, or 5+) credential, which will then travel with them. The credential gives job seekers a competitive edge and proves to employers that they have the right skills and the right attitude for the job! Last year, CareerSource North Florida, then North Florida Workforce, administered nearly 650 Florida Ready to Work assessments to adult and youth job seeker resulting in 642 credentials.
