What Is Rapid Response?

 

Rapid Response is a coordinated effort delivered by CareerSource North Florida in partnership with state and federal workforce programs. These services are designed to help businesses and employees navigate layoffs or closures by providing timely information, resources, and transition support. Services can be provided on-site or virtually and are offered at no cost to employers or workers.

How Rapid Response Works

 

Notification:

  • An employer/employee contacts us, or a state WARN notice is received.

Outreach:

  • Our team connects with the business to plan next steps.

Employee Sessions:

  • We conduct on-site or virtual meetings for affected workers.

Ongoing Support:

  • Workers receive personalized career services, training options, and follow-up assistance.

CareerSource North Florida is part of the American Job Centers Network! AJC’s are found in every state and within proximity to wherever you are. We provide universal labor exchange (job search) services, as well as more intensive assistance in preparing you for your job search journey. In Florida, we host other workforce partners to ensure a true One-Stop atmosphere.  And in every AJC, Veterans receive Priority of Service!

Because AJC's house more than one workforce solution, co-enrollment (participating in multiple programs concurrently) you can benefit from this environment in the following ways:

  • Improved service quality: Co-enrollment can improve the quality of service for participants. 
  • Better identification of services: Co-enrollment can help identify which services are most beneficial for participants. 
  • Better alignment of services: Co-enrollment can help align services with career pathways and sector strategies. 
  • Better coordination: Co-enrollment can help ensure coordinated services for participants. 

For example, the Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) Program and the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) DW program are required to co-enroll participants. The WIOA DW program helps dislocated workers re-enter the workforce through career, training, and supportive services. 

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) of 2014 also encourages coordination between TANF and the public workforce development system.
